A few of the scenes that stood out to me was Jin whining about wanting to go home but no one was getting ready, Suga's face when he talked about his reaction to Jimin not being able to perform on the Graham Norton show and the cute interaction between J-Hope and a random Army about "important businessu". There was a healthy dose of the typical humorous interactions between the members that I think Burn the Stage was also lacking. I also thought the editing was a little better and seeing the concert scenes on a big screen was amazing. I think the biggest difference was getting rid of random Korean narrator and using NJ's spoken words for the occasional narration. Overall, I loved it and enjoyed it way more than Burn the Stage the movie. I thought maybe there might be some previews but looked like the movie started on time. My theater was pretty empty and I was a few minutes late. I'm at the point now where I don't really care what people think and I didn't want to wait to watch it so I went by myself this past weekend. Most of the time when I mention BTS, I get a response like "Oh yeah my daughter likes them". I didn't see Burn the Stage or Love Yourself in Seoul in the movie theater, though I wanted to, because I felt awkward going by myself and I was also still feeling a little self conscious back then about being an older fan. And an especial must for any Army who loves fashion!) (Edit: Huge recommend for the McQueen documentary btw, it's called McQueen and is on Netflix and the beauty of the clothes alone makes me want to cry. It's got to be exhausting to the soul on some level to be away from your friends and family (even if the members make a good support system for each other) and live with a camera in your face all the time from adolescence onwards, no matter how comfortable they are with their staff. and also an idea of the toll that life can take on them, both from the professional and personal sides (the saddest contrast to me, is of their outcomes).Īlso after seeing it, I'm REALLY glad for Bighit's announcement that the boys are finally getting their first-ever extended break. It was an interesting juxtaposition, despite the difference in their (BTS/McQueen) professional fields - both films did a good job putting across just how much their subjects love their job, and the standards to which they hold themselves. And then came home and watched the McQueen documentary. I watched it twice over the weekend, once on Sat and once in Sunday morningto catch all the smaller details I'd lost at first.
